A website for Bar No 8 in Galway to post news about upcoming gigs and for people to learn more about the bar.
The Design
Graphically, the idea was to make a unique site which was similar to the bar itself. The site's colour scheme is based on the unique interior of the bar itself. Functionally, the site has a photo gallery and site-wide page editing built-in.
How it was done
The background was created in Photoshop based on the decoration of the walls in the bar. To fit everything on one page, iframes were seamlessly integrated into the base design. This ensured that everything stayed within the wall-style background.
A photo gallery was set up and integrated into the design. Photos can be uploaded by the bar staff without having to contact us, and they can also edit every page on the site using CushyCMS.
About the site
There was an emphasis on graphical impressiveness with this site, so Photoshop was used heavily in creating the colourful base of the site. Internally, the site is built using HTML, CSS and PHP, all with valid code so the site runs optimally.
